Enhancing Administrative and Management Capabilities with Generative Text Artificial Intelligence

A course by Luisa Eugenia Reyes Recio
Internal training aimed at PTGAS URJC

Description

This course focuses on the application of artificial intelligence tools in the management and operation of university and administrative services. Its objective is to equip staff with advanced skills in the use of generative AI, prompt engineering, and Copilot, thereby optimizing institutional efficiency and decision-making.

Through structured content, the course introduces AI literacy, effective interaction via prompts, and the use of generative models adapted to different departments (Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Customer Service, and Legal). It includes practical training on Copilot within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, covering functionalities in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, with examples applied to academic, financial, library, technology, and institutional communication management.

The program also incorporates the design of specific use cases for administrative services, the exploration of intelligent agents and chatbots applied to the university, and a progression of competency levels in Copilot that allows users to evolve from basic use to organizational AI strategy. Its approach combines conceptual understanding and practical application, preparing technical and administrative staff to lead intelligent processes within the university setting.
